Job description

The starting salary for this role is £38,746 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

"Since joining Surrey CC and the Transition team a year ago, I have supported a number of young people aged 18 - 25 on their way to achieving their goals. Some have wanted to move out their family home and be more independent in a supported living setting. Others are pursuing tertiary qualifications and have needed support with setting up their university accommodation. I have been well supported to develop and progress my skills through all the interesting and variety of opportunities that arise from my role and responsibilities. My confidence in working with young adults has grown significantly. Most importantly, I feel like I am making a genuine contribution in young people's lives."- Jenna, Senior OT

  • Role specific training in major adaptations, sensory integration and postural management.

About the role
We have a growing Occupational Therapy Service within the Transition Team which continues to develop and implement innovative ideas. Our interventions and support are focused on supporting young adults aged 18-25 to achieve their aspirations, goals and improve their quality of life.

We invest in Surrey's "grow your own" apprenticeship scheme and consistently have students and apprentices. You will have an opportunity to supervise OT trainee's and engage in reflective supervision.

We also invest in you and your career development. We have specialist mandatory training with agreed funding to support your developing clinical knowledge, alongside in house regular CPD sessions and leadership development.
