To work alongside and under the supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist to provide both direct and indirect patient care. To carry a caseload delegated by the Occupational Therapist who has carried out an initial assessment. You will have the opportunity to assist the Occupational Therapy team with a range of therapeutic interventions including information gathering from both medical notes patients and their carers, joint working with moving and handling , delivering and fitting of equipment essential for discharge, assisting on home assessment visits. We work as part of a large multi-disciplinary team which is essential to ensure all therapy goals are achieved. There is also a requirement to undertake delegated administrative tasks that assist the occupational therapists and contribute to the effective running of the department. You will have excellent communication skills, and problem solving skills. Previous experience in a healthcare setting would be advantageous.
