Ocean Freight Job Summary:
As a Junior Ocean Import/Export Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the ocean freight operations of our company. You will work closely with the Ocean Import/Export team to ensure the efficient and timely movement of goods via Ocean freight, while maintaining compliance with customs regulations and company policies. Ocean Freight Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating the import/export of goods via ocean freight, including booking shipments, arranging transportation, and preparing necessary documentation.Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of shipments.Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery, resolving any issues or delays that may arise.Prepare and process import/export documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and other required paperwork.Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade compliance policies, including tariff classifications, duty rates, and import/export restrictions.Provide administrative support to the Ocean Import/Export team, including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records.Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and processing invoices related to ocean freight shipments.Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to ocean freight logistics.Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, customer service, and warehousing, to coordinate shipment schedules and address customer inquiries.Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in ocean freight operations.
