Are you ready to take on a challenging role in Ocean Freight? Nter Talent is thrilled to present a fantastic opportunity with our global client, a leader in the logistics industry, for a talented individual to join their team as an Ocean Product Manager.
Job Purpose
As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in creating a product that is valuable, usable, and feasible in our business today and tomorrow, this role is the crossroads between business, technology and the user experience, the Product Manager must be experienced in at least one of these, but passionate and conversant in all three.
Key Responsibilities
- To clearly define their chosen product to internal customers, understanding market movements, innovations and solutions that can be delivered to the business.
- Managing and Developing Carrier/Supplier relationships, ensuring the requirements across all aspects of the service provision are adhered to, and Service levels are continuously innovatively adapted and improved.
- To work with the Corporate Procurement and Tender Mangement teams, to share information around local agreements and negotiate with them to ensure UK remains a high priority for Global Agreements.
- Engender good working relationships with the Network Group in a spirit of co-operation and mutual development.
- Hold monthly review meetings with operational and commercial teams as well as attend customer QBR meetings when required.
- Ability to identify where the market is going and deliver a marketing plan and strategy that you can communicate to the commercial/operational teams ensuring they deliver it.
- Create consumer awareness and the need for them to want our product.
- Management and budgetary control of their chosen product, supporting budget planning and monitoring performance throughout the budget year
- Taking responsibility for the Procurement of Services relating to your Product from Approved Carriers and Providers.
- Totally support the Group’s Training and Education programme with specific emphasis on Customer Care, Induction, Systems, ISO, Dangerous Goods, Health and Safety, Aviation Security etc.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Complete understanding of Product Role requirements
- Excellent presentational skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
- Innovative
- Well-presented professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change
- Supplier / Procurement Management Skills Essential
