We're recruiting for a small, modern & growing but established business who are leading experts in their field (Insurance sector) & we seek a bright, sharp & responsible Office Administrator for their office based just outside Chester city centre.
Office based full time 9-5 with a possibility of slightly part time daily hours (shorter days) for the right work ethic, background & fit. Salary would therefore be pro rata.
The role at first glance seems basic but it s more straightforward than basic.
We seek a process driven, effective candidate with excellent manners, a confident, clear & concise telephone manner, a genuine eye for detail & strong up to date IT & Data skills. Accuracy, working to deadlines & data management is of paramount importance & you must be happy doing regular daily tasks to keep any issues in check whilst also understanding that unexpected work will occur & need to be dealt with. We also want someone who genuinely wants to develop & grow in a role.
The Administrator role:
- File opening, actioning & managing (average 100 running files).
- Responding & reviewing file updates resulting in external client updates.
- Phoning clients to ascertain claim data or specifics.
- Claims diary management.
- Managing multiple inboxes.
- Basic PA assistance to Directors - expenses, booking trips, planning meetings etc. (& this may grow as core role develops).
- Day to day office administration.
The Administrator We Seek:
- A willing Administrator with an evident, responsible & agile work ethic.
- Methodical. Someone who can produce a high standard of administration work that doesn t diminish under pressure.
- A clear, effective & concise phone manner as lots of liaison with clients.
- Excellent, confident IT skills (especially Excel) & strong numeracy.
- A genuine desire to learn develop, grow & add to an organisation.
- A good standard of Education & exposure to a modern, fluid working team environment
- Happy in a very small SME & team.
This SME is committed to building on what this Administrator will bring & achieve & the person & the role will develop. Training will be provided; hence we welcome candidates from a wide range of administration backgrounds/skill sets, providing core skills are met. Character equally as important as background but we envisage a process driven Legal, professional & / or financial services, accounts or similar administration background being a good fit.

£25-29k - If part time, then salary pro rata. Regular bonus is paid at particularly busy, effective working periods.
9-5pm. Walking distance from train / City. No Parking. 23 days + statutory hols & NEST pension
