The Procurement Manager - Polymers is responsible for delivering annual savings targets and supplier quality and delivery expectations for the Polymers business unit.
This role will manage the spend areas across 4 different factories responsible for plastics processing and recycling as well as production of pellets as a product. Specific spend will be within raw materials and storage. You will also be responsible for the indirect spend for overheads, MRO and transportation.
Your core responsibilities
- Deliver annual savings targets and supplier quality and delivery expectations
- To manage spend associated with local categories and ensure compliance with Group category strategies for Group spend.
- Manage sustainability requirements and ensure compliance with SBTi targets
- To ensure close collaboration and dialogue between Polymers BU and Group Category Management teams.
- To ensure implementation of policies, processes and systems for Procurement, as defined by Procurement Excellence
Our essential requirements
- Over 5 years experience of strategic Procurement in a category-management based model with specific knowledge of one of the specific category areas
- Experience in waste management, manufacturing or logistics organisations preferable
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders within matrix organisations
- Experience of major supplier relationships and ability to interact at account manager level with large supplier partners
