How do you ensure the integrity of critical national infrastructure assets?
Embark on a dynamic journey as a crucial member of our Overhead Lines (OHL) Condition Monitoring team! Picture yourself at the heart of the Electricity Transmission network, overseeing a vast expanse of 4,500 miles of overhead lines and 22,000 transmission towers that power the high voltage electricity network in England and Wales.
As the go-to person for all things Condition Monitoring, you'll not only dive into the fascinating realm of new technologies but also play a pivotal role in managing data that shapes the future interventions of the electricity network. Imagine harnessing the power of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and cutting-edge analysis tools to unravel degradation trends, provide decision-making insights, and contribute to maintaining one of the UK's critical infrastructures on its path to net-zero targets.
Your role extends beyond routine inspections – you'll lead the Level 1 inspection program, collaborating with National Grid's Helicopter Unit and Climbing Teams to capture high-quality images for assessment. Be the linchpin connecting regional teams, scheme developers, and planners to optimize schemes, conduct thorough investigations, and enhance our collective understanding of asset conditions.
Are you ready to be the driving force behind prioritizing and managing overhead line defects, ensuring effective inspections and maintenance work?
