Oncology Pharmacist - Private Hospital
Ackerman Pierce are looking for a specialist Senior OncologyOncology Pharmacist to provide a first class clinical pharmacy service to the oncology department and chemotherapy day unit. The role will include providing a comprehensive and patient centered service to oncology and chemotherapy day unit patients at Spire Hospital.You will play an essential role in ensuring medicines optimisation; safe, appropriate, accurate and cost-effective services to ensure patients receive their medication in a timely, professional and efficient manner with all the necessary practical and clinical information.
Salary: £45/h
This role provides a unique opportunity for flexible shift patterns, great pay rates, access to weekly pay and the ability to work in various clinical settings and departments. You will be able to build or develop on your existent skills and be able to try work at several different departments!
What you'll need as an Oncology Pharmacist - Private Hospital:
Experience as an Oncology PharmacistAbide by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards of conduct, ethics and performance as well as standards for registered pharmacies, observing and applying all professional, ethical and legal obligationProvide a comprehensive and patient centered clinical pharmacy service to oncology and chemotherapy day unit patients at Cromwell Hospital in accordance with the hospital's objectives in order to ensure safe, clinically effective and cost efficient use of drugs.To act as a specialist Oncology Pharmacist and provide a patient focused clinical pharmacy ward service to the oncology ward and chemotherapy day unitEnsure safe management of oncology electronic prescribing system and appropriate management of introduction of new oncology medicinesTo communicate information relating to medicines management within the oncology setting to clinical colleagues, nurses, independent prescribers, carers and patients.Attending and actively contributing to oncology MDTs and ward rounds. All processes must be in line with RPS, GPh.C, MHRA, Home Office and hospital SOP standards.
What you will bring:
Master's or Bachelor's Degree in PharmacyMember of General Pharmaceutical CouncilPost Graduate Diploma in Clinical PharmacyBroad clinical pharmacy background including ward-based workRecent and significant experience of UK aseptic services, oncology and chemotherapy services.Experience of initiating, leading and developing servicesMembership of the British Cancer Services Pharmacy AssociationSACT knowledge acquired working as a cancer pharmacist
