POSITION: Online Orders Fulfilment Manager
REPORTING TO: Julie Corry, Stock and Warehouse Management
NORMAL HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week. The department is open seven days a week and includes evenings.
MAIN DUTIES: To manage the picking and packing team to deliver great customer service to our online customers
KEY TASKS AND DUTIES
1. Manage the performance of the picking and packing team to ensure we keep our high Trust Pilot reviews.
2. Ensure all customer queries are answered in a prompt and satisfactory manner.
3. Ensure all office duties are completed in a timely manner.
4. Manage the time keeping, attendance, rotas and holiday allocations for approximately 15-20 colleagues.
5. Delegate and allocate colleagues to fulfil customers’ orders.
6. Receive and check off inward deliveries and customer returns.
7. Assemble and check off outward deliveries to branches and couriers.
8. To ensure that stock is stored in an orderly fashion.
9. To check the accuracy of internet orders being picked and packed to maintain our high standards.
10. To ensure that the warehouse is free from hazards and maintained in a safe condition.
11. To observe and implement the health and safety legislation.
12. To carry out regular risk assessments.
13. To assist the Warehouse Management team in training and developing staff.
14. Any other duties requested by Management.
PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience in a retail or warehousing environment.
- IT skills
- Great work ethic and “can do” attitude.
- Ability to display an adaptable and flexible approach to business needs.
- Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple activities.
- People management skills, including the ability to engage, motivate others and ensure a good working environment and good team spirit.
- Flexible attitude to hours worked.
- Display the required standard of numeracy, literacy and computer skills.
- A clear employment record
DESIRABLE
- Experience with warehouse distribution/computer systems.
