The Opportunity...
At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, oversees the design (basic design) and the realisation (studies, procurement, erection, testing and commissioning) of nuclear islands for new projects.
EPR-E is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.
As an Open Points Process Manager, you will be responsible for the Open Points process and associated tools and your implementation within the project.

What you’ll be doing…
- Managing OP, applying the project instruction and updating of the INS-UKEPR-359
- Managing the OPM IT tool for Open Points.
- Identifying project critical Open Points and escalating to the right management level.
- Supporting engineering entities in all phases of Open Points resolution.
- Chairing the weekly L2 OP coordination.
- Facilitatingf "Clarification Meetings" between technical entities.
- Developing and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) of the process.
- Reporting to the Technical Management of the HPC Project governance.
- Participating in the continuous improvement of the OP process.
- Enhancing monitoring of L1 Open Points.
- Managing OP stakeholders (coordinators) and organising workshops.
- Operational management of the OPM administrator
Who you are…
Your background may include some of the following:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- At least 5 years’ experience in engineering / leadership / project management.
- Knowledge of Nuclear New Build, EPR or PWR and engineering processes.
- Project and delivery management experience.
- Understanding of requirements and expectations of UK laws, regulations, nuclear industry and best practices.
- Excellent communication, organisational and people engagement skills.
