Job Purpose
As the Operational Logistic Supervisor, you will supervise an effective and highly motivated workforce, driving performance delivering year-on-year cost efficiencies and improvements in productivity and resource utilisation whilst maintaining world-class operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction.
You will need a good understanding of logistics, including managing a fleet of Heavy good and Low good vehicles, an excellent understanding of driving regulations and a good awareness of financial impacts linked to the business targets will be essential.
What you'll get to work on
- Carry out workplace inspections to demonstrate compliance with the required standards/company procedures
- Act as the public face of Cadent when responding to complaints and enquiries where required
- Ensure all data is captured accurately and handled/stored to comply with Cadent Policies & Procedures
- Ensure maintenance activities are in full compliance with Safe Control of Operations procedures and CDM requirements
- Manage and control of asset risk and identification of investment opportunity within the network
- Responsible for delivery of work stack within the defined SLAs (AMP, Reactive, Projects, Customer Driven)
- Conduct investigations into process safety / asset incidents
- Provide technical advice/problem solving assistance to address faults on assets
- Application of project controls, reforecasting, reporting and delivery to plan for all asset health work
- Producing monthly MI reports on performance
- Responsible for effectively delivery to Cadent financial targets
Who are we looking for
- Previous managing fleet experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Driving regulations (VOSA)
- IOSH
- SCO CP & AE
- Comprehensive knowledge of and understanding of gas assets and process systems
- Knowledge of Gas Distribution's core processes
- Understanding of risk management principles, HSE regulations and Process Safety Principals
