Medequip Connect is a country-wide provider of Emergency Mobile Response, Pendant Alarm Monitoring Services and Assistive Telecare Services for the elderly and vulnerable adults in the UK. Our service enables people to remain independent for longer, with their families in their own homes.

This role will help provide a valuable service within the Dorset area.

The Role:

  • Working as a Team, you will provide administrative and general office support, including answering telephones, distribution of information, post, stock-taking of PPE and Technology Enabled Care (TEC) equipment, etc.
  • Take and process new referrals for clients in accordance with TSA regulations.
  • To ensure that new referrals are processed within the time-scales and to the standards required by our contract specification.
  • To schedule the Technicians diaries with appointments ensuring the most efficient use of time when planning routes.
  • To liaise with Dorset Council colleagues, customers, their families, and third-party community services such as GPs, nurses, social workers, and voluntary groups to maintain the independence and well-being of the customer.
  • To assist with promotional activities and local marketing campaigns to ensure our target market know the range of services we provide.
  • To assist with the set-up of the new client equipment and process returned equipment and occasionally clean it in line with Medequip’s decontamination policy.
  • Responding to routine queries and requests from Commissioners, Clients, managers, employees and colleagues.
  • Ensuring records are kept up to date..
  • To develop & maintain knowledge and expertise in this specialist function and demonstrate commitment to one’s own professional development.

The Person

  • Deliver a Service with empathy and care
  • Ability to manage own workload and work unsupervised.
  • Knowledge of an accounts system.
  • Experience of working in an office previously and be able to use MS Office proficiently.
