SalaryWe have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, creative and bright individual to help with operations on international physical commodity contracts and develop commodity market analysis. Our client is a small, innovative, physical commodity broking company specialising in the international grain industry. Situated in Farnham, Surrey. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in current events and international affairs, be confident on the telephone and have a fine attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy both written and numeric. If you have a Bachelors Degree or alternative experience and can demonstrate a proven understanding of any of the following areas :- Economics, International Relations, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport, Shipping Logistics, Business or Business Management it will be extremely beneficial. This is an excellent international client facing role, it will therefore be necessary on some occasions to work the hours that are required by their international clients and change with market activity. You will work directly with the Senior Brokers and in return will receive full training and support from the Management Team.
Office based:
9am - 18:00hrs Monday - Friday Parking Provided
During your first year you will gain an initial understanding of the business and build the foundation of your knowledge, covering:
Ø Contract terms, trade and shipping terms and documentation.
Ø Contract execution, Operations
Ø Dispute resolution
· Collate, analyse and report information to assist with the business.
· Work directly with the brokers and deal with operations.
· Help to draft and issue contracts,
· Monitor the execution of contracts,
· Help to ensure that contract terms are adhered to and deadlines are met.
· Work with the brokers to improve the company's current analytical ability and develop new tools to improve services to their clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (or alternative experience)
Strong IT knowledge
Required: GCSE's English Language and Mathematics
Beneficial Languages, though not essential :- Mandarin, Spanish, French, Arabic.
