A national, multi-award winning retail business is seeking an experienced and highly organised Operations Assistant to join their friendly team in Bolton. Covering a period of maternity leave, this contract is for a fixed-term duration of 12 months - whilst there is no immediate plan to offer a permanent role thereafter, it is possible that other opportunities internally may become available.
Your new role
The Operations Assistant will work within a small team and will be responsible for auditing and reporting on the retail performance of stores across the region, and will entail reporting KPIs to the Operations Director. This role is fast-paced and requires lots of multitasking, so you will be required to support your Operations colleagues during busier periods. The Operations Assistant will provide general day-to-day operational support to ensure the smooth running of the retail operation.
The role varies in responsibilities and will include working with regional managers and reporting on their performance, working closely with the Retail Buying team to coordinate supplier visits, audit paperwork, as well as HR-related paperwork such as interview documentation, ordering staff uniforms, and coordinating training exercises for colleagues.
What you\'ll need to succeed
- Previous experience in an Operations role where you have demonstrable experience of multitasking and juggling multiple priorities
- Excellent administrative skills
- Strong MS Excel skills (confident using formulae like VLOOKUP, SUMIF and Pivot Tables)
- Good at data analysis
- Working knowledge of \'Workday\'
- Excellent level of written communication
- To be available in the next few weeks to start a 12 month fixed-term contract
