The role
As an Operations Clerk, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will ensure the provision of operational support to the flying task.

Day to day, you’ll prepare briefing material for the upcoming days flying, co-ordinate and display aircraft allocation, meteorological information, and Royal Flight data for the daily flying programme, as well as:

• Ensure relevant publications, maps charts and documents are to the correct amendment state and readily available in the Ops room.
• Composite statistical data and have a good understanding of flying operations system databases.
• Assist in post-crash management procedures providing administrative support to the Duty Authoriser.
• There will be some general duties as required, including (but not limited to), driving, housekeeping and other responsibilities.

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Benson.

Essential experience of the Operations Clerk:

• IT skills MS office, word excel.
• Experience of support to military or civilian flying operations
• Driving Licence
• Communication skills.

Qualifications for the Operations Clerk

The successful candidate must be able to achieve the minimum of a BPSS security clearance for this role.
