We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our Warrington site, here you will lead, engage and inspire the production management and colleague communities working across the site to drive a people first culture!
Key responsibilities include:
- Formulate and implement a manufacturing plan to ensure that business targets are delivered, and support is in place to develop each site
- In line with the Greencore Way, be a role model for colleague communications and engagement, delivering regular cascades and playing a lead role in the site colleague forum
- To lead all production elements for the site, to ensure that functional capability and team performance are built and directed to deliver business plans and targets
- Actively promotes the delivery of safe operating policies and practices across all production areas, embedding a safety-first culture within the working environment
- Ensuring that customers demand can be met through effective decision making and feasibility of new products/launches. Labour planning to be aligned and proactively managed to the demand signal
- Plays a major role in the colleague forum alongside the General Manager to create a highly engaged community which creates an environment where people want to work
- Consistently exceeds budgeted performance metrics for labour, materials and overheads through a progressive, structured approach

- Demonstrable operational and leadership experience, ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods environment
- Demonstratable experience leading teams and influencing a broad range of stakeholders
- High degree of tenacity, resilience, determination and persistence to ensure goals are achieved and the team stay motivated and focused
- Extensive experience having led safety programmes, underpinned by IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent and specific safety critical
- In depth understanding of food safety and hygiene legal requirements, and experience with GMP, operating a food safe factory
- Experience of having led large teams and managing change and culture across multiple functions
- Understanding of engagement drivers - colleague experience and external stakeholders
- Experience having heavy involvement in pay negotiations, working with Trade Unions and colleague forums, and having managed an agency supply
- Excellent experience managing a P&L and understanding of levers and drivers or costs
- Understanding of supply chain end to end, key customers and suppliers at site level
