Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a highly reputable and growing provider of compassionate and top-tier home care services. We are seeking an experienced Operations Director/Senior Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their operations.
The Role:
As the Operations Director/Senior Operations Manager, you will collaborate closely with the highly experienced Clinical Director and the hands-on Managing Director, both with extensive backgrounds in healthcare. Your mission will be to provide leadership, guidance, and career development in the non-clinical aspects of the business, including recruitment, coordination, and administration. You will uphold the organisations core values, which remain its largest priority, positioning the company as a preferred employer and driving positive change within the health and social care sector.
Location:
In the role you would be expected to be present in the Office to have that physical leadership for the coordination and operational teams. The office is commutable from: Twickenham, Kingston upon Thames, Hounslow, Brentford, Chiswick, Wimbledon, Putney, Barnes, Sheen, Fulham, Clapham, Battersea, Hammersmith, Ealing, Wandsworth as well as Woking, Slough, Watford, Staines-upon-Thames, Croydon and most of Surrey.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage service operations, providing leadership, support, and strategic direction.
Clarify and strengthen the company's position as a preferred employer.
Directly manage operational teams, overseeing coordination, administration, and recruitment.
Build trusting relationships through consistent and effective communication.
Develop engagement programs with staff and external stakeholders, addressing concerns for resolution.
Maintain and manage key performance indicators, conducting regular surveys and audits for quality assurance.
Collaborate cross-functionally for effective teamwork and communication with the Clinical Director.
Drive business promotion, actively participating in external meetings, marketing, and development.
Work confidently with various platforms and technologies, promoting technology and managing information accurately.
Ensure compliance with legislation, adapt processes, oversee compliance systems, and monitor health and safety.
Essential Criteria:
Significant experience in health and care operations management, ideally from the sectors of Complex Care, Homecare or Live-in Care
Strong knowledge of homecare management, including regulatory and contractual aspects.
Proven expertise in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Excellent knowledge of sector-specific CQC and regulations.
Excellent communication skills, planning abilities, and administrative proficiency.
Experience in staff management, recruitment, and training.
Ability to implement policies and procedures.
Caring, respectful, and committed attributes.
Self-motivated, eager to learn, and a confident communicator and leader.
Excellent time management and understanding of confidentiality and health and safety.
