Operations Director - London and the South East
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience
Days / Hours: Monday to Friday 0830 - 1730 hours
Location: Covering multiple sites throughout London and the South east. Locations include main office attendance in Greenwich, Ashford, Canterbury, Reading, Folkestone and Essex. We require you to be within 1 hour travel time to Greenwich.

Our customer is a forward-thinking privately-owned company who are a leading provider of professional integrated bespoke security and facilities management services, giving their clients a flexible and scalable approach to addressing their security and FM requirements in their businesses across an array of sectors including educational settings / student accommodation, healthcare, charitable, corporate / estate management, warehouse / distribution, social housing, utilities, shopping centres / retail parks.
The London and SE Operations Director will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a group of managers looking after an established portfolio of contracts within London and the Home Counties. Key Responsibilities for the Operations Director duties will include:
- Full operational responsibility for London and SE
- Assisting and maximising opportunity for the business to grow through strategy development
- Monthly 1:2:1s with Operations Managers
- Carrying out staff welfare visits / appraisals / investigations
- Managing staff and team building
- Complying with individual site service level agreements and key performance indicators
- Implementing and following correct client and company procedures
- Identifying cost savings and increasing profitability
Essential Skills Required:

- Previous senior management experience within the Security, Service or Facilities Management Industry
- Accomplished in motivating and leading a team
- Ability to risk assess and identify compromises (actual or potential)
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and logically in face-to-face situations with clients and staff
- Dealing with client requests and situations which arise promptly and accurately
- Excellent English language both written and spoken
- Excellent ability to present, including but not limited to, tender conversations and to the Board with Business Cases
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Highly effective organisational skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Must be hardworking, self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy
- Must have a "can-do" and progressive attitude
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
- Must hold a full UK driver’s licence
Current SIA Licence is desirable but not essential - this can be obtained post placement
