Operations Manager

This position is seeking an Operations Manager in the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain industry to lead the logistics team. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective supply chain management.

Description

• Ensure all targets and directions set by senior management are met and maintained.
• Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organisation.
• Set ongoing QA compliance objectives ensuring all targets are achieved.
• Advise on QMS changes and their implementation, providing training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards.
• To continue to implement and maintain BRCGS across the operation, acting as main point of contact both internally and externally.
• Maintain awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.
• Assess the service specifications of the organisation and its suppliers, comparing with customer requirements where necessary.
• Work with sales staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers

Profile

A successful Operations Manager should have:

• A degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
• Experience in a leadership role within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain industry
• Excellent team leadership skills
• A deep understanding of supply chain management
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in relevant software and technology
