BSV are currently hiring for an Operations Director on behalf of our client, a well-established Design and Build Electrical contractor based in Walton-on-Thames who has been operating within the industry for almost 40 years. Our client generally gets involved in Commercial and Education Projects up to the value of £1m, working in and around London. If you are a well-seasoned Operations Director within the Building Services industry seeking a new challenge, or perhaps a Senior Contracts or Project Manager who’s looking to take the next step in their career, I want to hear from you.
The Role
As Operations Director for our client, you will be assisting the Managing Director in all operational aspects of the business. Some of your Duties will include:
Keeping track of the progress of multiple projects, ensuring profitability and smooth operation.
Developing business strategies with Senior Project Management and making improvements accordingly.
Managing major plant and staff with accountability for operations, maintenance, costs and performance.
Developing new client relationships, bringing new business to the company and maintaining existing relationships.
Managing a Design and Build team with full responsibility for finance, marketing operations and personnel.
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years in a Senior Project or Operations Management role in the Building Services Sector.
A background in Electrical or Building Services Design.
Strong negotiation and Business development skills.
