The opportunity
University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for a Visitor and Events Operations Manager to join our Events team on a full-time basis.
Located in the new development in Kings Cross, Central Saint Martins is a world-renowned facility alive with different ways of thinking, making and doing. Our CSM Events team, delivers an extensive public programme boasting a wide variety of events with an annual footfall of 80,000 external visitors.
As Visitor and Events Operations Manager, you will ensure the smooth running of events and the reception on a day-to-day basis. This will involve managing, developing and training your team to deliver the highest standards of customer service, managing staff rotas, signing off timesheets, training and appointing staff as required, and ensuring cover at all times for FOH and reception services.
You will deliver all internal, external and public-facing events professionally, safely and with an excellent customer service approach. Working closely with the CSM Innovation Team, you will also act as a main point of contact for commercial events, which will involve liaising with clients, negotiating requirements, onboarding stakeholders and carrying out due diligence.
This post will also require flexible working including evenings and weekends.
About you
With a demonstrable background in events management, you will have a passion for excellent customer service and an excellent understanding of premises stakeholder management.
You will be passionate about people, training and teamwork, and can provide previous experience of supervising and managing staff effectively.
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills will also be essential for success in this role.
