Job description

Company and culture

Our mission is to help large enterprises increase their profits (B2B) and help day-to-day people become more conscious and get more of what they want from life by democratising the power of skilled negotiation (B2C).

This is not your standard 9 to 5 job, please only apply if you are interested in joining a mission, an unconventional team, are prepared to go all-in on the job, want to challenge yourself and the team around you, and have great fun in the process. We speak our minds directly, have no politics, and our values require radical honesty, radical transparency and direct vertical and horizontal feedback to foster our own positive development and that of our internal and external stakeholders.

We are uncompromising with performance standards. We expect people to come in, tell us what to do, project manage their key priorities, and redefine the role based on their personality and strengths as they support the business achieve its key results. There will be no manager keeping track of your daily progress. You will be given objectives and will be expected to achieve them.

In this process, you will be given a large degree of trust (e.g. we assume you’ll be completely honest and do the right thing for us and our stakeholders), operational freedom (e.g. working flexibly in terms of time and locations) and business critical responsibility upfront (e.g. end-to-end project leadership from ideation to completion). until you give us a reason to remove any of the above - which, should it happen, will result in the position being terminated.

If the above description does not sound exciting to you, please do not apply as you will not be a fit and will not enjoy the role.

The Role and Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a top calibre Events and Operations Manager, reporting directly to the CEO to:

  • Manage our world-class consulting and training events delivered by our Negotiation Team for our senior executive clients and large enterprises both in terms of external large corporate communication and liaising as well as running world-class event execution and management, ensuring the value experience we deliver delights our clients and surpasses their expectations
  • Manage and lead ad-hoc growth special projects (e.g. internationalisation, process building, support with early stages of the recruiting process, provide cover and support for other unfilled roles if necessary)
  • Manage and executive day to day processes and tasks across several internal business areas (e.g. CEO travel, venue management, basic bookkeeping, invoicing, basic contract reviews, key suppliers management)

We need uncompromising reliability, attention to details, C-level communication skills, office and events management skills and the ability to represent our values and company culture, on all operational and client representation matters.

We are a small team and you’ll be a pivotal part of our growth and the success of our mission. You will have significant responsibilities and project ownership and your performance will be expected to redefine industry standards. We love to work with people who love challenging themselves and learn new things.

In such an ambitious, high pressure environment, we expect mistakes will happen - what we care about is how one handles such mistakes, makes things happen nonetheless and keeps fostering a continuous growth mindset.
