This hugely impressive Grade II listed venue provides blank canvas space, with unique period features, for a huge range of client events in the heart of London. Popular for Fashion Shows, Product Launches (cars etc), Receptions, Dinners & Awards, Exhibitions, meetings and conferences – the range and variety of events and clients gives a wonderful range of experiences and challenges – with new clients sitting alongside repeat events through the year.
Role
As Deputy Event Operations Manager you will lead on all aspects of operational event delivery – working closely alongside the Sales Manager and team, and line managing 2 Event Co-ordinators. You’ll take forward all client projects, allocating them to the team, and leading on more complex event projects. On the day Duty Management at events overseeing internal and external stakeholders and suppliers, whilst ensuring customer service and the overall customer journey is exemplary.
Alongside the operational responsibilities a key part of your role is to lead, motivate and inspire the ops team, and work collaboratively with the Sales Deputy Manager across all areas ensuring excellent client delivery and offering. We are looking for someone who is keen, ambitious and confident to really take the lead on all things operational and would love to take a lead operational and management role at this well known and impressive event venue.

You
We are looking for someone who likes to lead by example – who is confident and would enjoy leading and motivating a team. You’ll have excellent venue Event Operations experience and ability, good on managing and improving processes and constantly looking to raise the bar to ensure the success of the team, the venue offering, the profile and success of the venue and the client events. Specifically you’ll bring:
- Proven experience of Event Operations within a venue, and working on varied events, including sizeable ones
- Line management of direct and indirect reports
- Experience dealing with event organisers, event agencies, members of the public and contractors
- Proven knowledge of Health & Safety, risk assessments and fire regulations for public places
- Personal licence holder ideal (not essential)
- Excellent with clients and building client and supplier relationships
- Previous experience working in a Grade II venue would be good
- A leader who enjoys being part of a wider organisation and team
