We are looking for someone with a vibrant personality who can add a touch of spice to this role and ensure the smooth operation of our events at Sea Containers, London. Some key responsibilities of this role include:
· To ensure that all scheduled meetings and events requiring catering takes place on time and in accordance with function sheets/system updates.
· To lead the innovation alongside the wider events team, to develop the presentation of our events food, and evolve the offer in keeping with trends and ahead of our competition.
· To provide a consistently high quality service to the guests and exceed their expectations delivering great hospitality.
· To be responsible for Rota management and labour costings in accordance with budgets.
· Floor management & delivery of consistent standards across all areas.
· To be financially astute, to understand reports and make comments/adjustments where needed.
· Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety, building management & licensing.
What do we expect from you?
· A positive attitude and a genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
· At least 1 year of experience as an events manager in the hospitality industry.
· Must have experience of catering up to 200 people during events.
· Has expertise in handling corporate events and management conferences.
· Exceptional customer service and people management skills.
· Should have a sharp sense of aesthetics and a creative flair in order to produce visually aesthetic hospitality layouts.
· Experience of running multiple events at the same time is preferred.
· Must have had previous experience of dealing with financial targets including labour, margin etc.
