JOB OVERVIEW
-The Assisted Travel, Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the Mitie Assisted Travel team at Birmingham Airport. The will work with the Mitie General Manager to ensure high operational standards are maintained and exceeded.
-They will liase with the client to develop plans, projects and a culture that strives for operational excellence.
-To lead and manage the team of managers and employees, ensuring their safety and operating methods are of a high standard
-Ensure staffing requirements are met by preplanning and data analysis of the required demand.
-Develop stakeholder relationships which allows good communication and joined up problem solving
-Responsible for managing the local budget, ensuring that there are no overspend or reduction in operational requirements and monitoring the contracts financial performance.
-Potentially deputise for the General Manager when he is out of the business.
-Conduct 1-2-1 Mireviews and coaching and mentoring the Assisted Travel Team.
-Drive Actions that ensure the team KPI's are met.
MAIN DUTIES
-Manage the Mitie Assisted Travel Team on site
-Work closely with the General Manager and Client, ensuring a positive culture towards staff development and H&S is attained.
-Ensure the operation delivers successfully on a daily basis and look to develop the operation strategically
-Develop team members skill set and promote a positive working enviroment.
-Audit the team and implement corrective action where required
-Manage contractors working with Mitie and conduct service level agreements and KPI's are completed.
-Management of a large budget ensuring that ream rotas are in accordance with staffing requirements
-Develop projects and initiatives that take the Assisted Travel Team forward.
