About the Role
The Operations Manager is responsible for implementing programmes and projects that contribute to our vision and mission, working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure effective delivery of programmes and projects that meet organisation and customer expectations. The Operations Team are responsible for the delivery of people, programmes and equipment, and integral to this, the Operations Manager has particular responsibility for ensuring programme staff are equipped, enabled and inspired to deliver the Kings Factor and for applying and upholding Kings policy and practise in programmes and projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan
a. Work with external partners and internal teams to plan and deliver programmes and projects
b. Programme schedules and requirements for people, programmes and equipment
c. Oversee the training plan for Kings Camps programme staff
d. Online and in-person training events and content for Kings Camps programme teams and activity contractors
e. Kings Camps training budget
f. Monitoring and evaluation requirements for programmes and projects including Kings Camps
g. On-board, supervise and guide the Operations Co-ordinator and Programme Delivery Lead
2. Prepare
a. Kings Camps programme staff performance and development programme
b. Work with the Head of Operations to prepare Kings Camps Regional Managers
i. Audit framework and process, including performance criteria
ii. Schedule
iii. Reporting
c. Oversee training resources for programmes and projects
i. In-person and online courses
ii. Programme syllabuses and content
3. Deliver
a. People, programmes and equipment for external projects
b. Programme roll-outs, audits and performance management
c. Visit programmes and projects to ensure performance measures and brand standards are maintained
d. Work with Kings Camps Regional Managers to monitor audits, staff performance and development
e. Online and in-person training for Kings Camps staff teams and activity contractors
f. Information and reports for internal teams and external partners, including monitoring and evaluation requirements
Conditions of Work
• Permanent role
• Based at Sheffield Head Office with hybrid home-working out of peak season
• High level of domestic travel and occasional international travel
• Office hours: 37.5 hours Mon-Fri between 8am - 6pm
• The Operations Manager is expected to be available during weekends and unsocial hours during peak times of operational delivery (school holidays)
• Report directly to the Head of Operations
• Full, valid driving licence

• At least 3 years’ activity programme and delivery experience
• Training and mentoring experience

• Salary £32,000 - £36,000 per annum (DOE)
