Operations Manager, £60K a year plus car allowance, Monday to Friday, No weekend working 40 hours a week, private medical insurance, 25 days holiday plus stats.
A market-leading Automotive business in the York area requires an Operations Manager.
The company have invested significantly in the facility having recently expanded the workshop for further growth.
The Operations Manager will take overall responsibility for the management of vehicle modification operations, managing and leading circa 20 employees; including people management, the management of both financial and operational KPIs, compliance records, and HSE across the facility.
As Operations Manager you will also be instrumental in attending meetings and exhibitions to maintain the company's outstanding reputation within the market, whilst maintaining and improving
service delivery to both internal and external customers.
What do you need to apply to the Operations Manager vacancy:

• Ideally degree qualified, or commensurate experience in vehicle modifications or manufacturing.
  


• Proven and demonstrable experience working in a similar workshop/production environment, including material and resource planning and production, covering installations, maintenance and vehicle equipment


• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement technique methodologies


• Financial budget setting and management experience, covering cost controls


• Skilled in evaluating and revising operations and procedures in response to organisational change


• Knowledge of HSE regulations and statutory requirements


• Knowledge of HR policies, including performance management, recruitment, training and employee relations


• Assisting the operations director with planning, implementation and evaluation of modifications to existing operational systems and procedures


• Compliance management covering ISO systems, e.g.
  9001, 14001 etc


• The ability to lead and positively contribute to daily and ad-hoc production meetings.
