Operations Manager - Manufacturing

Description

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Engineering & Manufacturing department.
• Implement effective operational strategies and processes.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a the team, doing all scheduling, hiring, mentoring, etc.
• Ensure production targets are met without compromising quality.
• Identify opportunities for process and product improvements and implement them.
• Support with client complaints, timeline updates, etc.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Manage departmental budgets and report on performance.

Profile

A successful Operations Manager should have:

• An educational background in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a managerial role within the manufacturing sector.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of operational process and workflow optimization; understanding of project based work/orders.
• Strong technical acumen and problem-solving skills (CAPAs).
• A proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements; understanding of continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing practices.
• Strong budget management and reporting skills.
• The ability to plan schedules, equipment, material based on customer orders/needs; adaptability to manufacturing changes in volume, and deliver projects/products in a short turnaround time.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations.
• Excel proficiency or tech-savvy.
