Resourcing Group is working with a very friendly, local Maintenance Contractor who are growing and developing their painting team and division. This is organic growth and is progressing due to existing clients offering more work to the contractor to operate in wider areas of the South West. The contractor already had a strong presence in Devon and Cornwall. They have a branch in Somerset already. This would be an additional division to open in their existing branch and will suit someone will and able to make this their own team and division.
The contractor work with many different public sector landlords. Not exclusively housing associations and local authorities. They also work with other end clients, including education facilities and with some mod clients also.
Their painting team manage and over see FRA works, Kitchen and Bathroom refurbishments, disabled adaptations, EWI works, roofing repairs, window and door replacements, to name the main specialisms.
Someone from a painting background with experience of managing multiple contracts would be desirable. In addition, someone who has the ability and passion to further develop existing clients and also win new business too.
Managing the jobs and projects from inception to completion, liaising with the end client and securing the works, completing them in an agreed deadline and with in the agreed budget is crucial.
Duties include:
- Overseeing multiple projects running simultaneously in different locations
- Procuring, recruiting and managing a direct work force as well as sub contractors
- Client management and liaison
- Point of escalation for internal and external queries for both directly employed team members, as well as sub contractors and the tenants/clients alike.
- Personnel management
- Time sheet management
- Budget control, working alongside the QS and commercial team
- Managing KPIs and SLAs
- Regular toolbox talks, technical support and day to day support for your team
