In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless management of warehousing and distribution operations, driving supplier relationships and achieving KPIs while maintaining cost controls and profitability.
What you’ll do:
- Management and coordination of 3PL logistics partner to deliver SLAs and KPIs within budget while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Be the focal point of contact between the business and its 3PL partner
- Ensure a smooth flow of goods through the warehouse, collaborating closely with the 3PL partner on forecast and capacity planning.
- Drive operational efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the 3PL partner to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Review weekly and monthly P&L statements, actively challenging costs when necessary.
- Compile business reports and present data to cross-functional teams and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Managing the dispute resolution procedure – ensure issues and resolutions are clearly communicated and effectively resolved
- Analyse, assess and interpret performance data
Proven experience in logistics management, ideally gained within a third party logistics environment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operational procedures, processes and best practice.
- Experience and proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven decision-making approach.
- Excellent level of attention to detail
- Able to develop strong working relationships with third parties enabling high levels of service through partnership
- Commercially focused, target orientated.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results
