Operations Manager

Adecco Recruitment, are seeking a motivated, problem-solving Operational Manager, to work within a successful growing Arboriculture Business, based in Newbury.

Ideally you with have a love for the outdoors.

Offering an impressive salary, of 40K plus. Dependent on Experience.

40 Hours a week. Over-time is offered at peak times. All work wear provided, if required.

The role:

• The ability to prioritise and plan a mixed workload.
• Manage team- members effectively, be first point of contact for all team members.
• Monitor team performance and competency, review teams' performance development monthly.
• Ongoing appraisal of team
• Carry out on-site audits.
• To take a direct interest in all health and safety matters and to support publicly all persons carrying out the policy.
• Be able to manage own diary in line with business requirements.
• Liase with upper management on all operational and staff activities weekly/monthly
• Understand invoicing.
• Up selling of services
• Quote work
• Work scheduling
• High level of customer communication/service
• To complete the relevant risk (and any other) assessments required before operations commence on any site and to ensure that all individuals on site are fully aware of the potential hazards.
• Ensure all vehicles are fit for purpose
• Organise repairs where possible.
• Oversee service schedule of vehicles and kit.
• Implementing/inputting into company systems and processes
• Understand all equipment.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• The ability to work with colleagues, customers, contractors.
• You will have a high standard of oral and written communication.
• The ability to monitor contracts and to use computer systems and software packages.
• To be adaptable and flexible
• Motivated and dedicated individual who strives to provide the highest standard of work.
• Have a very strong work ethic, time keeping, cleanliness.
• Be a flexible and reliable team player with the ability to use their own initiative.
