I am currently recruiting for an Operations Support Officer on behalf of my client, a leading public sector organisation based in Barnsley (S71).
You will provide an administration support to the team and to one of the managers. You will work closely with the Operations Managers to deliver service improvements in Construction Services.
Duties of the Operations Support Officer will include:
- To assist in the production of reports for Operational Managers on installation, repairs and maintenance, job costs.
- To assist in resolving queries and enquiries from tenants, clients, customers and stakeholders
- To prepare correspondence relating to customers.
- To provide administrative support for Tool Box Talks, including minute taking
- To attend meetings/team briefings/staff conference as and when required with internal and external bodies.
- To assist in the collation of information for incorporation into final accounts and valuations
- Contacting customers and booking work in
- Liaising with Operatives and managers daily to ensure delivery of service
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrate a positive, flexible approach to team working
- Experience of working in a Construction, Engineering, Maintenance or Manufacturing environment
- Experience of providing technical support to operational management, including an understanding of procedures used to improve service delivery
- Experience of working with software packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke databases
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing and develop good working relationships with external and internal customers
This post is full time 37 hours per week Monday-Friday, with a pay rate of £13.10 per hour PAYE .
