Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will:
* Assist in routine testing of the plant and equipment
* Adhere to the H&S process of the plant, reporting any unsafe conditions and hazards to the Shift Supervisor
* Assist with training personnel in roles required
* Monitor the plant via DCS and its process to ensure that the operation aligns with all relevant operating procedures
* Take part in pre-start checks following maintenance work or an outage
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Ideally have a Level 3 (C&G / NVQ) minimum qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
* Ideally have a formal Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH
Personal skills
The Shift Operations Technician role would suit someone who is:
* Prior background within a Power Production site, this could be CCGT, Coal, Biomass, Energy from Waste, CHP etc
* A solid understanding of health & safety in an engineering environment
* Able to demonstrate excellent written & verbal communication skills
