Operations Test Engineer

We are currently looking for an Operations Test Engineer for a global electrical engineering company based in Milton Keynes. This is a full time, 12 month on site assignment.
There's possibility for an extension or transition into a permanent contract after these initial 12 months.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Operations Test Engineer:
Creating dashboards for the Operations team to easily interpret & read battery communication data
Create/develop in line and end of line battery verification process & procedures
Create/develop and verify test scripts for module/battery pack cycling using NHR's & AV900/lynx
Create/Develop leak test process/procedures for in line & end of line quality checks.
Software flashing of battery BMS and associated assemblies
Create a list of battery fault codes/failure modes through experimental work during the prototype phase
Support battery tear down diagnosis post prototype testing
Work cross functionally to define pass/fail criteria for in-line & end of line testing
Develop Operations technician team in core test competencies and use of test equipment.
Define hardware requirements for battery programmes
Occasional travel to off site test sites will be required.
Travel to these sites is done during work hours and using company cars.
Key Responsibilities of Operation Test Engineer:
Develops, maintains, and upgrades test equipment and architectures for application products.
Analyses test results to provide recommendation and guidance in root cause of test failure events.
Understands end product specific functional test during assembly.
Ensures all test procedures comply with safety standards.
Ensures all test procedures comply with manufacturing standards.
Qualifications and Competencies of the Operations Test Engineer:
Test Control Systems - Designs, operates and optimises test control systems used to obtain quality results to make data-driven decisions to ensure the product meets customer quality requirements.
Manufacturing Analysis Led Design - Uses digital tools to model and simulate manufacturing processes, equipment and performance to make data driven decisions before changes are made and to drive continuous improvements.
Manufacturing Prognostics - Applies prognostics techniques by collecting real time equipment conditions and then use advanced analytics and artificial intelligence technologies to project future failures to eliminate unplanned equipment and systems down time.
Controls System Security - Develops and implements Controls System Security by specifying, reviewing, and approving company-owned and/or supplier designs for new equipment or upgrades to existing equipment to ensure our manufacturing controls and systems are secure.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
