The company and role:
You will be joining a global leading power generation company that designs, manufactures, supplies and distributes engines, generators, power systems and more. Due to continued growth in one of the largest industries in the UK, the company is now seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join their Milton Keynes development and testing site.
Reporting directly to the supply chain manager, the Test Engineer will assist with the design and implementation of test processes of components and products.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Testing of power generators, engines and more.
- Create a list of fault /failure modes through experimental work during the prototype phase.
- Collaborate with the production/manufacturing site team to hand over test procedures/specs from the prototype location.
- Creating dashboards for the Operations team to easily interpret & read battery communication data.
- Create/develop in line and end of line battery verification process & procedures.
This is just a summed-up list of responsibility and other duties will be required.
Skills and Experience required:
- Experience in software testing within an engineering organisation.
- Experience of troubleshooting issues encountered during testing and providing solutions.
- Ability to create dashboard scripting.
- Able to work to health and safety standards.
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload.
