Job description

An opportunity his available for an Operator (Stores) based in Stoke-on-Trent.

As an Operator (Stores) you may be involved in carrying out routine inspection, maintenance and repair of tools and PPE, assisting with the maintenance of stores and with the inspection of network assets as required. All necessary training will be provided.

To apply, you will need to hold English & Maths GCSE (1-9/G-A*) or equivalent qualification deemed to be at the same level in these subjects, such as Functional Skills.

Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment.

If you are offered a position, you will be required to successfully complete a basic DBS check that shows any unspent convictions or conditional cautions.

Main ResponsibilitiesThe working environment requires quick, decisive and responsible thinking and actions to meet the demands of the role. You will need to be flexible in your approach to assist the team in meeting it's objectives.
The Ideal CandidateIdeally you will be licensed to drive a Fork Lift Truck although training can be provided. In addition you would require a valid driving licence and an HGV licence is desirable.

You will need to be mobile throughout the area and may be required to undertake out of hours standby duties as and when necessary, to meet business needs.

Operationally we require you to live within approximately 30 minutes of the depot you are applying for.
