Optical Assistant Position
A progressive opportunity has just become available for a quality driven Optical Assistant for a full time, permanent role working in Crewe.
This one practice is situated in a busy shopping area and has strong footfall with a loyal customer base made up of a good mix of private and NHS patients. The other being in a less hectic location but still very busy. They have professionally driven teams who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of care possible and they have a very good local reputation for excellence in customer care.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
They are open to all levels of experience and full training is available. This is a busy practice and the most important requisites are a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike. You will be outgoing and approachable with strong communication skills and a willingness to grow and progress.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
For your skills and input my client is offering a competitive salary of up to GBP22,360 as well as a team based bonus scheme (approx GBP90-120 per month) with 28 days' holidays inclusive of Bank Holidays plus an extra day off for birthdays.
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and the potential for the dispensing course in the future for the right person.
