Job Description
This is a permanent opportunity for an Order Picker to join an international manufacturer with comprehensive in-house training and development that provide a well organised and clean working environment.
They supply their bespoke products on a global basis and have been established for over 20 years. Within the position you will have the opportunity to be involved with a wide of range of warehousing operations, which will be supported with a wide range of training opportunities, including accredited training programs, as well as on the job training to ensure that you have all the skills required to undertake the position.
Key responsibilities for the Order Picker role:
- Using the FLT to load/unload vehicles in accordance with daily requirements.
- Pack Finished Goods ready for despatch, including wrapping and labelling.
- Order picking with the use of handheld scanners
- Carrying out stock checks on a regular basis
- Provide weights and dimension information for shipping of product.
- General upkeep and housekeeping of the warehouse environment with focus.
Experience of the Order Picker:
- Proven experience of working in a warehouse/ logistics environment
- Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Computer literate
- Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
- Worked within a fast-paced environment
Ideally the Order Picker will have previous experience working within, warehousing, packing, production, manufacturing environment. FLT Licence would be advantageous.
What's in return for the Order Picker:
- Hourly rate of 11.44 per hour
- 38 hours basic and overtime available
- Regular days 9.30am-6pm Monday to Thursday and 10.30am-4.30pm Friday
- Weekly pay (PAYE) plus Holidays
- Ongoing training provided to up-skill further
