This role sets the vision and strategic direction for the Operational Technology Services Network (OTSN). It will also establish the route for funding to fulfil the roadmap and will be NGET’s primary OTSN lead in engagement with Ofgem, NCSC and DESNZ on OTSN initiatives.
This is a strategic role leading on the development of security controls from initial concept to an established business driver.
What you'll be getting up to
- Lead the strategic direction for establishing NGET’s OTSN security management capability.
- Consult with IT / security, operational engineering, and risk teams to define the roadmap for OTSN security and resilience.
- Lead the development of NGET’s business justifications and investment plans to establish the regulatory allowances to fulfil the incremental enhancement of OTSN security maturity in support of NGET’s risk appetite and aligned with the Network and Information Systems (NIS) regulations.
- Establish, track and monitor NGET’s performance on established cyber and security drivers, leading the external reporting on NIS compliance and cyber maturity.
About You
- Good understanding of IT cyber security with knowledge of security frameworks such as NCSC CAF, NIS-D, NIST 800-53/800-82,IEC 62443, ISO 27001.
- Demonstrable experience in networking, operational technology or complex IT administration is desirable, however, individuals who can demonstrate their passion for cyber security and evidence of hands-on experience (e.g. personal projects, ethical hacking etc) may be considered
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
