Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an OT Site Systems Operations Manager to join the team. You'll provide Operational Technology Services to customers, employees and external third parties. Manages day-to-day operations of the Site System Operational Technology (OT) estate and security. Leading the management and implementation of central system changes, in accordance with organisation strategy and budget and also managing risks and ensures the effectiveness of the OT Site System infrastructure


Job Accountabilities

  • Accountable for the 24/7/365 run of the Geographical Field teams providing support services across the OT estate encompassing control and automation, telemetry and SE technologies.
  • Accountable for the maintenance of the OT Site System estate including delivery of field based projects and system upgrades to ensure continued support of the estate
  • Responsible for managing Site Systems, support teams, licenses, services, maintenance and operations contracts and the associated budgets.
  • Responsible for front line service experience and managing key stakeholders delivering high standards of satisfaction and continuous service improvement culture.
  • Responsible for operational technology project delivery through internal and frameworks.
  • Responsible for the management and control of system access.
  • Responsible for configuration, commissioning, maintenance releases and small changes across the Site System Operational Technology estate
  • Assists with the relationship management of framework partners, ensuring quality service, performance and outcomes are delivered to commercial boundaries.
  • Responsible for the planning, testing and sufficiency of business continuity and disaster recovery activities for OT Site Systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring all audit and accreditation activities both internal and external are maintained.
  • Responsibility for managing key stakeholders in both the UU customer base and wider areas within the OT and Technology Services Teams
  • Accountable for Health, Safety and Wellbeing of the site based Field Teams


Knowledge and Skills


To be successful in this role you'll need extensive experience in operating and managing operational technology services. You'll also need:

  • The ability to lead technical focussed roles to achieve operational performance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, legal standards and best practice.
  • Experience of information security processes
  • Experience in leadership roles.
  • Customer service expertise, able to deal with a demanding customer facing operation and ensure customers remain at the heart of the service provision.
  • Experience in operational delivery of technology services, able to lead technical focussed roles to achieve operational performance from technology services, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, legal standards and best practice.
  • Experience of a heavily regulated industry and CNI accountabilities.
  • Strong operational management experience, able to deliver service improvements concurrently with cost savings.
  • Strong technical understanding of technology disciplines and the digital asset management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships and influence key leaders at senior manager level.
  • Full UK driving license.
