The role
As an Overhead Accountant, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be responsible for the operation of best practice financial control and governance for the Major Infrastructure project.
Day to day, you'll be required to support the business with a delivery of change programme and achieve contractual commitments including changes to cost collection methodologies and time recording activities.

• Produce timely and accurate accounting records.
• Ensure appropriate accounting standards are applied including IFRS 15.
• Perform financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Present financials to internal and external stakeholders via PowerPoint.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This role is full time, 36 hours based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Essential experience of the Overhead Accountant:

• Demonstratable previous experience within a financial reporting role within a large corporation.
• Able to work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, adhering to deadlines.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong people skills and working in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications for the Overhead Accountant:

• AAT Accountant, ACCA or CIMA.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
