Overhead Lines Site Supervisor

We are currently working with one of our leading clients to source an OHL Supervisor to work at one of their engineering sites in Oldbury.
The main duties of the role will include –

• Ensure compliance to CDM regulations on site
• Ensure all setting to work procedures are followed 
• Ensure works are delivered to a programme whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety  
• Produce reports and provide information in a timely manner  
• To provide sufficient and timely supervision and guidance to ensure staff and sub-contractors are performing to agreed production levels  
• To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively  
• To perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team  
• To comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions  
• To support clients and ensure all agreed KPIs are met or exceeded  
• Promote best practice, capture best practice and ensure it is fed-back into the business. 
• Lead by example in health, safety, quality & environmental management
• Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project and assist with the generation of as built drawings 
• Assist with the implementation of Safe Systems of Work  
• Set others to work and monitor throughout the task / project 

Minimum Qualifications –

• Full UK driving licence
• National Grid OHL and / or substation Persons
• IOSHH Managing Safely or SMSTS or SSSTS
• IOSH environmental or equivalent
• CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the T&D industry in an OHL role, preferably on NG sites
• Previous experience in a supervisory level
• First Aid at Work

Desirable -

• HNC / HND in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Formal OHL training
• Impressed Voltage training
• Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor experience

Working pattern –
50 hours per week, based on 5 x 10 hour days with travel to client or offices/sites
