Job Description
Ecogen Partners are currently partnering with a global pioneer in offshore wind development who are looking to hire a Package Manager to head up two separate work package scopes within the HVDC area in Edinburgh.
Role and responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead the HVDC Equipment Work Package. As the Work Package ManagerHVDC Electrical Systems & Components, you will:
- You will be required to identify, plan, support and monitor the execution of work tasks in order to ensure delivery in a safe, timely, in budget and quality manner.
- Be an active participant in FEED studies and collaborate elaborate with peers on the execution strategy.
- Accurately prepare the ITTs and oversee contract negotiations for studies and supply contracts.
- Be converse with Contracts Management to effectively manage contracts to ensure work package targets are fulfilled.
- Manage key interfaces and align within the project with other stakeholders.
- Manage the engineering and execution team to deliver the project on-time.
Required Qualifications
- You will be Degree qualified to the equivalent in electrical engineering or associated engineering field.
- Strong understanding of HVDC technology and offshore grid connections.
- Have a proven track record in project management and relevant experience in the field of HVDC transmission technology.
- You will be converse and highly effective in stakeholder management and relationship building, and possess exceptional communication and negotiation skills, persuasiveness and assertive where required
- it is a prerequisite to excel in an intercultural and cross-functional environments.
Preferred experience
It is important for this role that the successful candidate will be converse in the coordination and creation of tender documentation ("ITTs") and work hand in hand with the Technical and Commercial Team and be the conduit between multiple departments and key stakeholders.
It is preferred that candidates wishing to apply will be based in Scotland although candidates for the wider UK will be considered also.
