Orbia’s Fluor and Energy Materials business is hiring for 2 x Packing and Logistics Technicians to be based at Rocksavage, Runcorn.

 

Purpose:

Working as part of a shift team the job holder is responsible for the preparation, Packing and dispatch of medical propellants, M50 Feedstock, K134a (S1) and HCFC22 from the Koura, Rocksavage Site.

The role operates as part of a two-shift system comprising of two 3-person shift teams working 1 week on and 8 days off (Mon-Fri 7-5, Sat 7-3). Sundays are occasionally requested and cover from within the shift teams is mandatory.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The repacking of medical propellants including correct technical operation of the area and that all operations are performed to current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) as defined in the written procedures.
  • Accurate reporting of returned and dispatched stock to and from the Rocksavage Site. This role coincides with the accurate inventory management, updating of spreadsheets and use of digital systems to update business records.
  • Safe loading and offloading of Zephex Medical Packed product onto courier vehicles. This role coincides with the correct maintenance and running of the two Forklift Trucks which are on the inventory of the Medical Packing Area.
  • The SST checks of the weigh scales and moisture meters. The job holder also has the responsibility of using the MP2 system to raise work orders and requests for maintenance of the area equipment.
  • Preparation for maintenance including decontamination and isolation utilizing the sites SSOW (Safe Systems of Work), including WCS (Work Control Sheets), PTW’s (Permits to Work), etc.
  • The connecting, cleaning, sampling, and disconnecting of M50 Feedstock Material for use on the Plant.
  • The loading, offloading, super batching and sampling of stock tanks and ISO tanks.

 

Qualification and Experience:

  • The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE standard or higher successfully achieving a minimum of Grade ‘C’ (or equivalent) in five GCSE subjects including a Science related subject.
  • NVQ Level 2 Qualification or equivalent in Process Operations or similar discipline would be desirable.
  • FLT license would be desirable. Should have a clean driving license.
  • Ability to handle the considerable volume of cGMP paperwork associated with each batch package to a high standard of accuracy. Accurate record keeping is essential in meeting the requirements of the regulatory authorities in the pharmaceutical industries.
  • Maintenance, Electrical and Instrument skills, as well as general craft skills to enable first line maintenance to be carried out within the area.
  • Working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite of applications would be required for the role.
  • Knowledge of Medical Packing and Logistics areas.
  • Understanding and experience of a CGMP manufacturing environment and continuous improvement culture.
  • Experience and demonstrable understanding of chemical processes and the hazards of chemical and toxic substances and the methods of controlling these hazards.
  • Use of Safe Systems of work (e.g., permits and Work control sheets).
  • Experience working on a top-tier COMAH site would be preferable.
