About the Role
The purpose of the role is to carry out painting and decorating tasks within the campus buildings throughout the College premises with flexible working in associated trades where experience allows.
Typical maintenance tasks involve maintaining, repairing and improving the internal and external building fabric as required by the Estates and Facilities Department, to a high-quality standard for use by staff and students and to install new building fabric. You will provide a healthy, comfortable and safe working environment for all staff, students and visitors.
About You
You must hold a recognized trade qualification or have equivalent experience (equivalent to NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 4); have demonstrable post qualification experience in similar trade position in a maintenance environment and have awareness of Health & Safety (CoSHH) and Workplace Regulations 1992.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
This role sits within the operations section of the Estates and Facilities Directorate. The team are responsible for the provision of all fabric services to the University, through a mix of in-house teams and contracted services.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. However, the role will work across all QMUL Campuses. It is permanent, full time (35 hours per week) and with a starting salary at Grade 3, in the range of £31,421 - £38,165 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
