Arla Foods UK is currently seeking a skilled Pallet Network Controller to join our team and support the smooth running of our Pallet Network logistics operations. Reporting to the Pallet Operations Network Manager, and working hybrid from our Leeds head office, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing service levels across our Pallet Network function. Working closely with our valued customers and third-party hauliers, you will ensure optimal output and deliver outstanding customer service. As the Network Controller, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities, optimizing operations, and coordinating efforts to meet operational targets. With 2 million pallet movements, 24 hauliers, and multi-million spend, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in our fast-paced environment.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Serve as the main point of contact for Pallet Network queries, support with onboarding new customers and ensuring we are providing proactive logistic solutions
  • Responsible for achieving daily/weekly/monthly targets and coordinating haulier reviews
  • Improve haulier service levels through on-time delivery and collection data
  • Populating and reconciling weekly P&L financial reporting
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve wider goals - planning, commercial, network services, customer services, supply and demand planning, finance, Arla depots etc
  • Coordinate and enhance trunking network through production site reviews
  • Provide proactive logistic solutions, understand customer requirements, and build collaborative relationships

Ideal background and experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • General technology competencies such as Excel, Powerpoint, Power Bi and SAP etc
  • We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, and ability to work cross functionally.
  • This role will also require you to be an excellent communicator, and be able to express yourself well to a range of stakeholders up to management level.
  • High levels of enthusiasm and a positive attitude to change & problem solving
