Job Description: As a Palliative Care Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with complex Palliative Care needs. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the provision of holistic, person-centered care that meets the individual needs and preferences of patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and support to patients in the Palliative Care unit.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans for patients with complex needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, identifying any changes in condition and taking appropriate action.
- Offer emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring effective communication and compassionate care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care and progress.
- Adhere to infection control and health and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Palliative Care nursing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Successful completion of IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
- Completion of CBT (Computer-Based Test) as part of the NMC registration process.
- Hold an NMC decision letter.
- Not from a red list country (subject to current travel restrictions).
