Paralegal - Commercial Disputes
Wedlake Bell are seeking an ambitious and diligent Paralegal to join our dynamic Commercial Disputes team. This is a thrilling opportunity for someone who is looking to advance their legal career by gaining hands-on experience in a supportive and high-achieving environment.
The Commercial Disputes team deal with an exciting mix of UK and international matters, for just as varied clients. You will work closely with our experienced solicitors and partners, providing critical support on a variety of Commercial Disputes.
This role requires a high degree of organisation, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience or in a legal environment, particularly in disputes or contentious areas, is highly desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities as a Paralegal in Commercial Disputes:
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents and bundles for court proceedings and hearings;
- Conduct legal research and analyse documentation related to various Commercial Disputes;
- Liaise with clients, external solicitors, and other parties as required;
- Support solicitors in managing case files and ensuring accurate record keeping;
- Attend meetings and providing precise note-taking;
- Work on document review and disclosure exercises; and
- Contribute to the drafting of correspondence and legal documents under supervision.
Candidate Attributes:
- A keen interest in Commercial Disputes;
- A law degree or completion of a legal conversion course (GDL/LPC) is highly desirable;
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively;
- Strong communication skills, capable of dealing with clients and team members professionally;
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
