Paraplanner

Location: Crawley (3 days at home, 2 days in office) Salary: Up to £50,000.We are recruiting for this highly regarded IFA practice who are looking to expand their paraplanning team. The paraplanners have the responsibility of being the initial contact for all client queries The Paraplanner's role is to provide a high level of support to the advisers in their position of advising the clients. The main duties of this role are as follows: Undertake valuations and valuation summaries. Package adviser reports. Complete investment strategy documents and prepare as appropriate adviser's suitability letters, LPA work, Wills and Probate work, SIPP reviews, shadow report writing and work reasonably within your experience and expertise. Keep product and fund knowledge and application through investment strategies up to date, in order to select appropriate products for clients' needs and circumstances. Take responsibility, in the role as Paraplanner of ownership of a client panel. Preparation for meetings, assisting the adviser in anticipating a client's needs and requirements. Client's liaison, providing information where required and meeting general levels of service. Appropriate research completed and on file to support any recommendations made by an adviser. Undertaking bespoke research and analysis when required. Prepare recommendations that account for client's circumstances, needs and objectives including tax planning. Responsibility for maintaining client's files in an orderly manner, such that colleagues can easily retrieve information. Undertake and complete as a minimum a Diploma in Financial Planning within a reasonable time period. Ability to prioritise and manage own work load and adhere to timescales; ability to multitask. Ability to work on your own and as part of a team, under pressure, with good interpersonal skills. Good IT skills and knowledge of our XPLAN database and Watermark (Papercloud) document management systems; outlook, word and excel.
