We have an interesting new opportunity for a Part Qualified Actuary to join a well-known pensions and investments consultancy. The successful applicant will ideally have a background working in a retirements actuarial role and will be progressing through the actuarial exams. This position will involve working on pensions consulting as well as exposure to investments and risk management projects. A fully supported study package is provided as well as hybrid working options.
About the Part-Qualified Pensions role
In this role, you will assist the team in providing a range of services from Risk Management Key Function Holder services to scheme trustees, PRSA, and day to day pension consulting services. Additional duties for this role include (but are not limited to):
- Managing and preparing risk policy documents
- Reporting on risk exposure, controls and action to trustees
- Devising annual PRSA Actuary reports and PRSA Certificate of Comparison
- Communicating with Pensions Authority for new PRSA product licence and on PRSA issues
- Maintaining and developing projection systems
- Pension funding checks and Annual review of compliance
- DB pensions consulting for clients
Actuarial skills required for role
This Part-Qualified Pensions Actuary role would suit a Part Qualified Actuary who has experience working in a retirements actuarial role. Additional skills required include:
- Great interpersonal, analytical and technical skills
- Versatility in comprehending and interpreting technical legislation
- Ability to prioritise team well-being
- Strong software skills
- Working experience in a consultancy would be an advantage
